Why this Lipedema Coach Training Program?

Since 2017, I have specifically treated women with lipedema in my practice. My search for treatments for my own lipedema led to the discovery of a manual, non-invasive therapy that, through tissue manipulation (massage), offered astonishing results. Despite doctors telling me nothing could be done, this therapy proved otherwise. These misconceptions within mainstream healthcare often lead many women to see liposuction as the only option. It is my personal mission to correct these misconceptions and help women suffering from this debilitating condition move towards a vital, energetic, and pain-free life. With this training, I aim not only to increase awareness but also to contribute to a future where women with lipedema can be effectively helped at the earliest possible stage. There is a significant shortage of specialized practitioners for lipedema, and I am determined to change that. This aligns with my personal mission to provide as many women with lipedema as possible the care they deserve.

What will you learn during the Lipedema Coach Training Program?

Our comprehensive Lipedema Coach Training Program offers an in-depth and holistic approach to treating lipedema. You will receive detailed study materials that enable you to accurately diagnose lipedema and distinguish it from conditions such as obesity and lymphedema—crucial skills, given that misdiagnoses are common in practice.

The training goes beyond just theory; we place a strong emphasis on practical experience. Throughout the various modules, you’ll learn how to recognize lipedema through touch, and how to effectively treat it using specialized massage techniques. These techniques focus on stimulating the circulatory and lymphatic systems to activate the body’s natural healing capabilities.

In addition, the training offers a unique combination of medical knowledge and personal insights. I share my own experiences as a woman with lipedema and as a specialized therapist, which gives you a deeper emotional and social context to better understand and support your clients.

The program also delves into lifestyle coaching for clients, with specific focus on nutrition, exercise, and mental health. This training is designed to transform you into a knowledgeable and confident Lipedema Coach, capable of effectively guiding women with lipedema and significantly improving their quality of life.

Our training combines theoretical knowledge with intensive practical training, enabling you not only to learn how to diagnose and treat lipedema, but also to play a significant role in the broader support of your clients. With this training, you lay the foundation to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women with lipedema as a qualified Lipedema Coach.

Who is this training program intended for?

The training is ideal for anyone with a passion for massage and a personal or professional interest in lipedema. Whether you are an expert by experience or already working in healthcare, such as a practice assistant, doctor, physiotherapist, skin therapist, or massage therapist, this training will significantly deepen your expertise. In the Netherlands, it is essential that you have a diploma in Medical Basic Knowledge, or have completed a comparable training. This foundation is crucial because we cover advanced techniques and methods that are specifically aimed at our holistic approach. We extensively address systems such as the circulatory and lymphatic systems, as well as muscle development and tissue layers. Therefore, it is crucial that you have a solid basic knowledge of the human body.

If you are unsure about your prior education or practical experience, please contact us to discuss the possibilities. We are happy to advise you on a possible preliminary course to ensure you are fully prepared and can benefit optimally from the training.
